Oxfordshire Greentech is a business network supporting the growth of the low-carbon sector in Oxfordshire through bringing together businesses and organisations to encourage innovation, collaboration and knowledge transfer, to facilitate the transition towards a sustainable, low carbon future in Oxfordshire and the world.

The Oxfordshire Local Nature Partnership (OLNP) is an organisation of key partners working together to radically enhance nature, its positive impact on our climate and the priority it is given, helping to make Oxfordshire a county where people and nature thrive.

The Zero Carbon Oxfordshire Partnership (ZCOP) is a partnership of leading institutions and employers working to achieve a zero carbon and resilient Oxfordshire by 2050.

Oxfordshire County Council is committed to being carbon neutral as an organisation by 2030 and enabling Oxfordshire to become carbon neutral before 2050. The council is also working to develop its resilience to the impacts of climate change in Oxfordshire, and has facilitated the delivery of Oxfordshire Green Futures through its 100 Together Programme.

100 Together, facilitated by Oxfordshire Couty Council, brings together the top 100 green finance thinkers and practitioners across the country including senior level policy makers, business leaders, local authorities, financial institutions, academics and investors.

Advanced Oxford is a membership organisation for senior leaders from the major knowledge-intensive businesses and organisations in the Oxford region. It acts as a united voice for Oxfordshire’s high-tech industry and innovation community, sharing evidence, knowledge and experience to grow the ecosystem.

Enterprise Oxfordshire champion Oxfordshire’s world-leading economy. Building on its significant legacy as OxLEP, Enterprise Oxfordshire oversees the delivery of a comprehensive set of business, skills, investment and trade support services, as well as supporting a variety of strategies backing Oxfordshire’s economic potential to be delivered in a sustainable and inclusive manner.

The Oxford Growth Commission (part of the Oxford -Cambridge Growth Corridor) was announced in January 2025 by Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves as part of the government’s Plan for Change. It is part of a fresh drive to create a growth ecosystem that brings together the expertise held within the Oxford and Cambridge – in particular their strengths in academia, life sciences, AI and green technology – to create a cluster with the potential to be Europe’s Silicon Valley.

The Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor is officially championed by Science Minister Sir Patrick Vallance and is expected to contribute £78 billion to the UK economy by 2035 by building partnerships and infrastructure to join up the two regions. It aims to boost innovations, benefit investors and create jobs.

Oxfordshire benefits from having the University of Oxford’s Environmental Change Institute (ECI), Leverhulme Centre for Nature Recovery, and Ecosystems Knowledge Network based within the county.

Regionally, linking with initiatives like  Oxford to Cambridge Growth Corridor and Golden Triangle (formed by the university cities of Cambridge, London, and Oxford) strengthens Oxfordshire’s appeal to inward investors and contributes to building a stronger regional economy.
